EComm Product Content App
ABOUT THIS PROJECt
This was not a freelance project - it was part of my day job. It's included here to illustrate my capabilities.
At the time I was the Account Manager of this major account, and I conceived the idea for this app. My company was doing EComm Product Content Enrichment work for this $30 Billion North American Retailer. The client had an urgent requirement to get thousands of extra Apparel items on the site in time for the crucial Holiday Season. They wanted us to set up a team in their headquarters in Chicago, because that's where their merchandise was located. Our content production team was located on the east coast of Canada, and we didn't have enough time to hire and train a team in Chicago. It was looking like the client would fail to meet their holiday item count targets, but I was convinced we could help them.
I designed this iPhone app to capture Apparel product images and meta data like garment label and care instructions, which would be relayed to our production team on the east coast. We built the app and I demoed it in Chicago and the client was blown away. We won the business, and they were successful in meeting their holiday item count targets.

WHAT I LEARNED ON THIS PROJECT
This project reinforced my belief that there’s always a better way, and that innovation and design are driven by constraints.
